Battle Music Requests

Hello, my name is AoDLegacy, and I love making battle music, which is why I decided I would try taking requests for some, as I know getting music can be frustrating. However I'm not insane so I have some basic rules about this. If you do not read these rules and follow them, then I will not answer your request.


Please note that silence is not a refusal or answer. If I have not gotten to addressing you directly, I will. Please be patient with requests and do not ask me the status of a request unless it exceeds a week. All songs are composed in Soundation, and may receive editing via Mixcraft. Previews will be posted to Soundation and the requester will be sent a PM verifying if the song meets expectations. If I do not hear from you, I will assume you're ok with the end result. Final results will be posted publicly.

First off, I must be credited for any songs created and used, and if commercial, it would be nice to get some money back from it. It doesn't even have to be a lot. Secondly, I'm going to ease into things and start with 3 requests per person, per 1-2 weeks. If I get a huge flood of requests, the requests will get closed until I can keep up. Once I approach about 12 songs I'll hold any further requests. Third, I'm not good or confident in my abilities regarding area themes, so if you request one, be aware that I will probably turn you down if I cannot come up with a good idea after a few goes. As for what styles I do, I do electronic and orchestral, as well as hybrids of both. I don't do 8-bit nor am I fully familiar with the process of making those songs. Please don't ask, for that matter, I will not do electronic guitar songs. Soundation Studio does not have good electronic guitars. Additionally, only request original work, no remixes, I am not good enough at it to warrant a request.


Regarding these themes, be aware that unless I know a lot about what you want from the theme, I can't make it sound the way it needs to. I'd ideally would like to know what the meaning behind the song is, so please be aware I may PM for background details if the information is sensitive. Also, as I run a YouTube channel and want to promote my music, any themes I make I retain the right to post publicly on my social media, and I retain monetization rights to my works. If someone is interested in a more extensive soundtrack rather than a few requests, I would be interested as long as you PM me on the matter.


If for any reason one of my songs are used without permission, I receive no credit, or you fail to follow through with obligations, you/you and your studio will get on my blacklist and will not be permitted to request again. You have been warned.

I'd like to post a request! 


I'm not too picky on battle music, but I just am tired of hearing the same battle music for all games using MV stuff. 


My game is fantasy/touch of scifi. I am taking inspiration from Paper Mario and Persona games.  It would be cool to have a generic battle theme that has a warm/welcoming feel that wouldn't make the player loathe battles. 


It would be kind of cool to have it be comparable to Paper Mario battle music:

Would it be possible for you to make a battle remix of Theme4 from Vx Ace?

@Yappy Monoxide I should have clarifed that I suppose. I'm not good at remixing by ear and I don't even have an midi (or the engine itself), so I cannot fulfill that request.


If you would like an original composition that is different, but in general I am no good at remixes.

The game in progress is Non-Commercial, and is being done in RMMV.


Take as much time as you need to finish these songs, I am not planning to rush you in any kind of way. Finish these when you have time to.


The songs will all be battle themes, to make it easy. Also they will all be Orchestral too.


Finally asking for, a horror Orchestral theme, a (difficult) sort of boss theme also Orchestral, the last a sort of fantasy final boss Orchestral theme!


I understand if you lack time, no need to rush. If you don't want to or can't make these themes, just tell me up front, I will be disappointed but I will understand. - Teal

1. Any specific instruments you're looking for in the first one? Fast or slow pace btw?


2. I'm assuming difficult means the theme needs to be dramatic and tense


3. I love fantasy final boss fight themes, so I definitely will have a go at that.

Just a brief update so you know, if I don't get anything done tonight, then I definitely won't get anything done in the next few days. I'll be doing thanksgiving stuff with family for a few days, so about weekend I might be back in business. I'll try to get some progress started tonight though. @Teal Dragona

If you'd like a different sound or don't think this one has a chance of working, please let me know so when I get back to song making I'll try something else, but if you do like it, I'll work on it more when I have more time after holidays.
