Hopefully this is in the right spot and Im making sense, but I cant seem to wrap my head around the side view animations. Ive played around with the different classes and how their animations reflect their actions, but I cant figure it out beyond that. I was thinking of trying to remove the attack option and renaming the magic option, but I would rather just add animations to whats there

What I really want in my game is for all the attacks to have the same sort of ready/idle animation as the magic abilities do. Ive only ever used the system that doesnt have the actors showing so I dont know what Im doing at all or where to start XP

If anyone has a tutorial or even just a simple explanation on how this works, it would be super appreciated!! /tho i cant do much atm, my computers on the fritz :C ive been using my familys pc when its available/

These are the resource templates, and the first one shows you which group of sprites is used for each action. Ready/Physical is the first group of 3 on the second row. Ready/Magical is the first group of 3 on the third row. It sounds like what you need to do is remove the first 3 sprites on row 2, and copy the first 3 sprites on row 3 and put them on row 2.

When you say "remove the attack option" do you mean the skill? Definitely don't do that, as Attack and Guard are default skills that are hardcoded in the engine.

I just tried that and it was perfect!! Thank you!!

Ive come to understand that so no! XD Is there anything on creating custom elements/weapons/skills and assigning the animations to them? Is that something to do with traits? I think making more options appear when choosing attack would fit what Im thinking of

I've been watching videos about the videogame streamer Open Hand charity scandal, and the rabbit hole keeps getting deeper. At first it was just a lot of donated money being grossly neglected for years, and now there's a lot of money unaccounted for, which could turn this into a legitimate IRS crackdown.

I've been thinking about doing a jokey submission for the Christmas jam in which, like a cartoon special where all the characters "play" a counterpart in A Christmas Carol, my MagiCats would each play a role from the C.A. Smith story The Coming of the White Worm, with Cyprian as Evagh, Rousalie as Dooni and so forth. But in the end, I figure all my development efforts should go toward the game proper.
