Battles on Map plugin

Hi guys,

first off the thing I want is not something akin to Legend of Zeldas battle system as every other thread I've seen similar to this title have wanted when I've googled solutions online.

I need the regular turn based battling, but that system activated ontop of the player map without the transition or backdrops or anything, basically the UI of the fight system and all its bells and whistles but on the normal walk around map screen.


Sorry if there is like a very well known plugin for this, but I cannot find it or simply not aware of one.

you can also try to set a transparent picture as the battleback, that might allow the map to become visible during battlescreen.

In my experience with doing that the map screen becomes blurred by default when you try and set it transparent, like a blurred overlay covers the entire thing a little like when you go to the options menu

Hey ! The crono engine thing isn't quite what I was after as it requires other sprites on map, i just wanted the UI system default in RPG maker overlayed on the map

I'm no scholar on plugins which use regular MV's combat, so I'll let someone else hunt one of those down. For what it's worth if you just want to see the tilemap during fights, you can create a blank battleback and set the map's default to that battleback. Then you'll see the tilemap during fights, though none of the events that are on it.

I'm not sure there are a plugin that remove blur when you open menu
I think that is the same thing make background blur when enter battle
try search for it I guess

If the default battle system would be fine without the blurring and transition, wouldn't it just be easier to ask for a plugin that removes those things, than a plugin for a whole big on-map battle system?

- check to see if you can remove the transition any other way first (is there something in the system tab, or are all your battles evented, and does the Battle Processing command give the option for no transition)
- confirm if you want the blur removed from ALL screens, or ONLY the battle screen

I'm not sure about the OP but I could REALLY use a plugin - or a trick - that simply removes the blur on the battle screen.

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
