Bear Monster

I need some help with a bear monster character.
Resource Type: Character Sprite
Maker Format: XP
Art Style: Somewhere between cartoony and realistic.
Description: A 4x4 sprite sheet of a teddy bear for the first sprite (Make it look really cute.), {You know how 196-Support04 is an animation horizontally? If not, then ignore the second request.} a 4x4 sprite sheet of the teddy bear bursting/transforming into a demon bear, and a 4x4 of a demon bear that has some pieces of the teddy bear clinging onto it.
Reference Images: Make the demon look like a shaved bear please.

@5T3V3N You need to be more specific before this is approved. We do not know what sort of help you need, therefore cannot know if this is the correct section or if it should be somewhere else. Please edit your post to provide more detail.

Okay, I was thinking of a monster that looks like a demented bear. I actually need three artworks at most. 1 for a teddy bear, 1 for the teddy bear turning into a giant monster bear, and 1 for the monster bear character. Is that good enough? I'm sorry if it isn't. Also, I leave for work in five minutes, so I'll be back around 3:30 PM.

It helps in that it tells me this thread does indeed need to be moved to Resource Requests. However, it still doesn't help an artist a whole lot, as it does not tell what engine you need it for (we can guess XP, but you don't specify), what art style you want it in (XP RTP? something different?), or what type of art you are needing (character sprites? busts? facesets?).

This template for posting in Resource Requests might be helpful to you. Artists don't want to waste their time guessing at what you want only to draw something and be told it's wrong.

People are here, but sometimes all that happens is looking, and that's the way of free things. I'm an artist and I don't think I could do your request well and I'm not interested, but I came to look to see what it was about just in case I was interested and able. It might help if you edit the first post with all the information, since some people just skim and don't look past that point for information on the request.

Are you looking for a walk-animation for both the teddy and the bear monster? Or just a normal front-view sprite to place on your map for the teddy?
I might try out the single sprites and the transformation animation but I dont really have it in me to do two 4-directional walking animations at the moment.

Also, would a style like this:

fit your description of "between cartoony and realistic"?

LOL, I meant that the style was okay. You don't have to do the walk animations, but I would appreciate it.

Just wanted to give a quick WIP to see if I am going in the right direction.


As you see, I have not finished the teddy bear part yet and the shadow is still kinda wobbly, but I will fix that. I personally liked the idea of the bear being kind of a shadow until the last moment, please tell me what you think about that.
I would also add some more cotton filling and maybe add some ripping strings.

Awesome, be sure to have some of the pieces of the original teddy cling on to the monster. If you can't do that, then just keep doing what you originally planned.

Right now I dont have the time and motivation for a whole 4 directional walk animation. Bt I hope you find someone to do it. Who ever does it can feel free to edit from the bear sprite as much as they want.
