Hello everyone!
I have some newbie questions about RPG Maker.
If someone can help me with it, it would be much appreciated.
First, this is probably the most stupid question of them all. How do you keep open a choose dialog option?
Since my english is trash, i'll offer an example. Char 1 talks to char 2. Char 2 asks something that requieres an answer, and you get 4 or 5 of them. One of those options is to exit the dialog, but otherwise i want the dialog to remain on the screen. How can i do that?
Second, how can I make an event to only happen once?
For example, I want that when my protagonist pick an specific dialog line he gains affection with the other character, but I only want it to happen once (otherwise, it would be the dumbest cheat ever). I could fix it with some spaghetti code making a local trigger to switch to another event page and repeat the conversation without the variable change, but i'm sure there's a better way around it.
Lastly, for RPG MAkers developers out there, what do you recommend me for the tiles?
I need some specifics things, like a pillory, iron maidens... the usual degenerate stuff. They appear to be easy to do, but I truly don't know how.
Can you lend me a hand?

Oh, forgot to add. Right now I'm using the character creator that comes with RPGMaker to make my npcs and stuff, but it will get old pretty quick. Any advice on the char creation?

It's the second button on the first page of events: Show Choices.

At the end of the event, use the Control Self Switch button. Then make a new page on the event and set the condition on the left-hand side to that self switch.

I strongly recommend that you do some tutorials on how to use MV. There's one included in the program if you click help; there are many more if you look in the tutorials forum, or on YouTube there are good series by Echo607 and SRD. These questions are very basic functions that would have been included in any tutorial you did.

I've seen torture devices in a number of tilesets...the Ancient Dungeons pack has manacles, but I know I've seen iron maidens around. You can browse the DLC store as well as the resources forum (you can also ask this question in the resources forum, some people keep itemized lists and will be able to tell you right away).

First of all, tutorials. If you can read/understand english, even better. I dont know if I missed it, but what RPG Maker are you using? Because for the character maker part, there is the extended generator for MV/MZ.

EDIT: Nevermind, I saw the forum... xD So, yeah, extended generator

Thanks for the reply!
I haven't explained myself that good. In the first question, I already have a choice selection implemented. What I want is to keep the choice selection open until the protagonist choose to exit from it.
Character A: want to exit the conversation?
Answers: Yes/No
If you press yes, I want it to deliver a message and show the same choice selection again. If you press no, I want it to exit.
I did the tutorials and couldn't find anything like it. I'll get them done again tho, just in case i missed something obvious.
About the second one, I have it like that, just seemed a non good way to do it to me, but if it's fine, solved then. I don't want the game to be resource heavy.
Will try looking in that forum! Honestly I have a hard time navigating through forums, so thanks for the suggestion.

Still on the first page of event buttons are "Loop" and "Break Loop."

Sometimes I wonder if I feature creep... 225 magic spells is a lot lol.
Being hit with nostalgia for something that's gone is both a great thing and so sad.

But being a creative means having ideas for bringing stuff back to life, which can be frustrating and rewarding in it's own right.
