I have a few questions to ask about how the process ussualy works for most of the senior commercial workers.

1. How do you base your required pay and such?

2. What to use to create a binding contract to not get screwed over?

3. What to use to receive payment(s)? (i.e. Paypal)

I suggest you read through the classified forum - that is for paid work, and there you can compare the prices and terms-of-service for other mappers.

Note - Classifieds is for people who are skilled at what they do.  Please don't post there unless you are very good at mapping (ie - your quality of work is good enough to ask for payment)

I've already been commissioned by someone, I was just asking for some pointers for working on a commercial game and how to handle contracts and what seems reasonable for my price.

no probs.

I don't think too many people here worry about contracts.  I certainly haven't had to prepare, or sign, any contracts for the people I've commissioned or the ones who commissioned me.

Which doesn't mean you (or they) don't have to conduct yourselves professionally.  A contract is an extra layer of security if you feel it's needed.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
