That sounds like a re-arrangement than a remix. It would be better if you take the melody identity and write the accompaniment instrument from scratch. I will drop the dungeon variant of the theme, in case if you need more inspiration.

I really lack discipline and find myself far too often giving into or at least seriously considering the temptation to start a new project rather than following through on a WIP that's no longer a shiny and new idea.
