I guess everyone already knows winrar, winzip and 7zip but it seems like most don't know the 7zip options you get just from looking around at a lot of file downloads. Just as example I used all 3 and several different methods of 7zip to compress the same rmmv game folder. The original size was 286 mb by the way.

Winzip - 220 mb
WinRar - 217 mb
7-zip standard settings - 210 mb
7-zip compression settings Ultra LZMA2 32mb- 209 mb
7-zip compression settings Ultra PPMD- 216mb

So the winner by a long shot is 7-zip. If you are really desperate for maximum compression you can use the settings listed above. Also Winrar can extract 7zip files usually so you don't usually have to depend on the downloader to already have 7zip downloaded to extract it.

Have you tried to compress using winrar, clicking in "Add to Archive", then configuring it to the highest compressing(format RAR5, compression method Best)?

Last time i tried, it reduced the filesize by 30% or more.

I always recommend 7-zip for many reasons.
- It is free and open source
- It has excellent support for a wide variety of archive formats
- It is high quality software that rarely ever fails
- It can make really good use of multi-core CPUs.

Yes that's what I ran up there was winrar at highest setting. 7-zip is still better.

Ponyo is such a beautiful, but certainly strange, movie.
I just have to say that I prefer the majority of Studio Ghibli's works to those of Disney.

So I tried composing a battle theme for the Linear Motion Battle System that I'm probably going to implement into my game. I really love real time combat, and I think that this theme might help give some energy to battles. Tell me what you think of it in the comments! Also, please do not use my music in your games.
