Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you meant sound recording.  Then I'll swear by another. Camtasia Studio + After Effects.

Before I switched to Shadowplay, I used MSI afterburner's recorder. It's lightweight and primarily a PC statistics monitor but its video recorder is a hidden gem. It's free, super easy to setup/use and is flexible in video and audio quality.

I made a test video with it from my newly built desktop. Or you can just look up a review. I swear by this freeware.

just noticed I piggybacked off a necro.

I personally use Flashback Express, it isn't the best but it records HD and leaves no watermark :)

I've used most of the aforementioned video capture software applications and I prefer to use Open Broadcaster Software(OBS). It takes a few hours to learn and configure your settings just right, but there are a plethora of video tutorials on how to do this. I highly recommend OBS.
Hey Drifty, this is what it looks like when I record with OBS. Do you know how to fix this?

You click on preview stream, then edit scene. then you drag the corners to resize what you're trying to capture. Watch some OBS tutorials on youtube.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
