I just have tried Aseprite, it's good, a demo version with full functions is available :) There is a mode for making Tiles, Animation/ Onion Skill

For me i don't like Aseprite Workspace much, may be because i am so in love with Photoshop layout :p well anyway a good software, i think it's better than Pyxels Edit

I just got Aseprite and I like it quite a bit.  It's easier to work with than GIMP, Photoshop, Graphics Gale and Pixel Edit for animations.  I still prefer Pixel Edit for making tiles though, the animation stuff was always secondary.

Despite time and all the other things I am working on, I decided that I am going to start a Fire Emblem-like project. Follow your dreams! I'll just have to balance hours efficiently. I'm also not making this as complex as my Might and Magic inspired project, so it will be a much easier project to work on.
