I really want to make a sort of open world life simulator RPG, similar to The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall (or more specifically the Unity port). What would be the best way to make something like it, or would I need to learn a different engine to pull something like this off?

You could do that with RM and plugins. I'm currently making a a game with a lot of "life" aspects similar to eso type games. One thing i can say is, it's a giant undertaking with a steep learning curve. Write what you want on paper and see what I mean.

All the Yanfly ones. Just gotta look at them all and figure out all the notetages, plugin commands and probably some of the script calls to really do what you want.

if you want to make something like daggerfall or one of those old crpgs you might also want mv3d

I officially declare today "test play day." I'm going to waste the whole day playing video games, which isn't a shock to anybody, but hopefully today I'll play my own and figure out what still needs fixin's.
Empty Bottles and Health Extenders are now a thing.
Also the Sling-Shot does damage to enemies now, but not a lot and you won't get gold from killing them that way.

added a Panic gauge to battle. it fills up according to your actions. each character has a different passive that activates once the gauge is full. also once full, a countdown starts and after each action taken, the gauges decreases. with each character, the decrease is different.
Genuinely considering making a thread informing people how to Google.
