HI everybody!
I'm making a farming-based game like Harvest Moon and am a little bit stuck on the best way to show tool animations, like when the player is tilling a square of field or planting seeds. I have several different ideas, but they're all time-consuming, so I wanted to see if anyone else had a simpler idea that I hadn't thought of.
I am using Selchar's farming scripts, which include a 2nd action button that you use for tools. They are not compatible with the ABS Pearl system (trust me, I tried). I really don't need an ABS system anyway, just a little tool graphic the way ABS Pearl does, where when you use your equipped hammer it looks like your character is swinging the hammer. Does that make sense?
I'm hoping there's a simple solution to this... if not I'll probably just have to use popups, which are not nearly as fun
