Hi,

I'm using Ace Item Menu, which already forces me to associate a big (eg. 100x100), pretty picture with all my items.

Is there a script where, instead of showing the standard message box, I can show a box with an image centered in the middle of the first row? I tried using the avatar, but it just looks, odd:

What I actually would like is something like this:

Or maybe a little bit narrower, but not nearly so narrow, as this:

(They're screenshots that I modified in GIMP, if you're wondering.)

There are several options or scripts on how to do that.

The easiest is probably to use modern algebra's Global Text Codes, and then place an icon command inside the name for the item.

What other scripts are available? I couldn't find any.

I'm looking for something that lets me display a picture, not just a small icon.

What is the "Ace Item System"? A script? Would a small change to this script make it do what you're after? If so, provide a link to it, show a screenshot of what happens when you obtain an item, and either draw a mockup or use arrows and notes on the screenshot indicating how you'd like it to behave.

I've updated my original post to address your questions.

The "Ace Item System" is better known as the "Ace Item Menu" is this -- Yanfly's (popular) script.

I've added some fake screenshots to show what I'm after.

The narrower window could be done using some of the message systems available. I'm not familiar with them, but you might even find one that allows you to add larger images than icons, or to have more control over where the "face" goes.

Yanfly's Message System has a picture option (the example is the last one on the link)

But if you don't need it centered, Shaz's suggestion of using the face option of show text is a lot easier to do.

Modern Algebra's Advanced Text does not have a picture option, but it does allow a lot more effects when using faces

There's a really intense irony in the fact that I'm already using Yanfly's Message System, but never noticed that last item on the page about images :)

This works for adding the image and shrinking the width, but it doesn't let me grow the height of the window, nor center the text or image.

Read it again - yanfly's message system allows you to configure a variable to decide the text height, you just have to use a control variable command on that variable before using the show text command.
And while Yanfly doesn't have an automatic center option, he has the option to move the text to a position - you just have to experiment what that position has to be for each different text.
