Hi there, I'm Ruby!
To be honest, I'm not exactly new to the RPG World but trying to interact and actually being active is definitely a first and a new experience for me. Very long ago, I played my first RPG game on Wild Tangent because well there weren't too many games and I stumbled upon Aveyond created by Amaranth which is now Aveyond lol, and I quickly fell in love with the style and the rich story, which has become so nostalgic for me. Since that time, I've played many more rpg games that have inspired me. As a writer well one who tends to do more rewriting, I've always wanted to create my own story. Back when I was an extremely ambitious high school girl who played way too many games, I wanted to create that dream through making my own RPG game that others would enjoy as much as I enjoyed their creations, but with more ambition than rationality, I never actually knew where the perfect place was to start. Even when I finally joined, I still felt overwhelmed, and often than not, I tend to lose my inspiration.
However, I wouldn't be here if that was still true. I'm usually just the person who always seek out the RPG forums for advice, information, or to find answers usually lurking never posting. Too often than not, I often fail myself, and I suppose failing others is what prevented me to ask questions or get integrated. It's a lot easier to disappoint yourself than others who are eager to see your work. This time around, I decided the best place to start was here by saying an official hello and hopefully building actual roots to keep me on my path.
P.S. Thanks for reading
I plan on making my game and working on my project using RPG Maker XP even though I do love and enjoy other engines, XP has always been more nostalgic for me.
I have definitely learned a lot since when I first bought and downloaded the RPG XP program in high school. Whether I've retained that after this long hiatus, I can only hope! This time around, I definitely plan on being more active and sharing my progress! Although I'm no Picasso, I plan on trying to create my own art but that's so far up ahead I don't want to fret it- that'll be a fun experience to say in the least.
