BGM stops, and won't restart in game after stopping

For some reason the BGM keeps stopping in RPG Maker VX Ace, and won't continue to play. I never had this problem before, and I do not know what is causing it, or how to fix it.

Help is appreciated please.

Now this might seem super obvious, but is it set to loop? Or do you mean the BGM is stopping prematurely?

It stops the music completely, and doesn't even loop a little bit.

Any chance the song in question has accidentally been filed under ME or SE in the resource manager? Is it all songs? Or just some.

I've sometimes had music stop after alt tabbing though, strangely enough.

Actually it is in the BGM folder, and does that.

That's good. Just wanted to make sure. I've made a silly mistake like that before.

Is there any way you could post a screen shot of the event page?

What situation are you using the bgm in?  Is it playing automatically or as an event? battle music?

Actually it's the opening event in my game.

Here is the screen shot, and yes I even tried setting the bgm to map without event, and it still does it event or not.

Is it in MP# or OGG format? If it is not in OGG format, change it to ogg. Sometimes MP3's don't run right in RPGMaker.

Mayhap provide a link to the music file ... the issue may be with the file itself.

Yeah, I'd rather say it's the file. Does the music stop at the same point or is it different every time?

It's an OGG file, and it stops around the same point. Also I can't give you the music file because it's from one of the paid resource music packs. I asked here because I didn't think I'd have to post the music file to be honest.

If it stops at the same point, chances are somewhere in the file it is set to stop there. Is it only this file or all files that do this?

Also, which pack? I may own that pack and can check and see if it occurs on my end.

It is the first Adventurers Journey Pack, and the file is the oog version of Sleepless Stars.

Huh, well, there does not appear to be any problems with the file itself. At least, on my end. Are you certain there are no BGM Stop commands in the event or other events?

Does it loop fine when you play it in sound test?  Or is it just when you use it in an event?

There is no stop bgm event. I did however shrink the size of the file in Audacity to make the size of my game smaller though. Even when it map set BGM it still stops.

That might explain it. The loop parameters are based on samples, and thus can be screwed up if you change the sample rate, or cut the song, or do something of the sort.

Could be onto something here.  Op, maybe check if the original version loops okay?

Unfortunately, that is not the case here. There is no 'LOOPSTART' or 'LOOPLENGTH' metadata in the music file (by default, anyway).

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
