The two heroes made their way deep into the bowels of the cavern, following ever so faintly lit runes etched into the rocky ground. Eventually, chanting echoed maddeningly off every wall, seeming to come from every direction... but Shayde unerringly followed a path, as if a bloodhound on a scent. Every so often she would glance back, her eyes flickering in what little light there was, to make sure Felix was behind her.
They eventually came upon a massive chamber, lit with swirling dark magick and nearly deafening with sonorous chanting. Shayde dispatched two pygmy guardians so swiftly and silently, Felix wondered if they even realized their lives were at an end before they slipped to the ground, their heads parted from their shoulders.
Perhaps their blood dropping to the floor was a catalyst, or perhaps it was just coincidence, but just as it happened, a monstrous figure burst through the whirling purple madness, its skin crackling with the remnants of the summoning magick. Shayde and Felix looked on, Felix nearly startled into falling over.
"Sloth," Shayde whispered with a curl on her lips as Felix picked himself back up.
What appeared to be a Pygmy king of some sort exclaimed in exuberance at this prize, just as his summoners all slumped over from the strain, passed out or dead. Sloth turned its baleful single eye on the Pygmy king, it almost seemed to laugh. Then in a heartbeat, the pygmy king was a smear on the cavern floor, crushed by the massive armored fist of Sloth.
Shayde unholstered her handcannon and emptied the entire cylinder into the distracted beast, the ensorceled bullets tearing through Sloth's strange flesh plating and leaving gouging bloody holes filled with molten magick. Its terrifying single eye dimmed for a moment, then turned to them, nearly blinding with rage. The cavern itself shook with what Felix could only describe as a roar from a beast with no mouth.
"Run." Shayde commanded, already disappearing into the gloom behind them. Felix nearly tripped over his feet as he chased her into the small cave they had come through.

I am still looking for suggestions on what the heroes will face next, and the competition is pretty fierce considering what was posted in the last thread! Great job everyone.
Next time the heroes have set off a firestorm of aggression between the Pygmy tribes and Gilgamesh's warriors, it is all out war now. Shayde and Felix are going to have to approach their target carefully, not to mention watch their backs as a demon lord might be very upset at them.
Leave your suggestions in the thread!
