    I'm trying to use this map js for my game, but it keeps putting everything above the layer despite me writing 'below_characters' or even 'bottom'

    Its getting really frustrating because I've followed tutorials to a T, I think?

    It's parallel, but only one image is showing, and it's above everything. (The Map01, shadow layer doesn't show up.)

    Can you help me?

    It was because I didn't capitalize the T in To.

    WELP.

    ignore me haha.

    Thanks for the js! :p

    Are Events and the Player Character always on the same layer? I need to have a picture show above an Event but below the player. Any workaround for this?

    You have to copy and paste the code and save it as a .js file.

    notepad or any text editor that does not change the direct content (so don't use a word processor which adds formatting)

    You want it in your projects plugin folder. Game/project1/js/plugins...

    Or something like that.

    Hi there! I'm just new to this plugin system for RPG Maker MV, and it's also my very first first time ever using an RPG Maker. I was wondering if github is the only option for me to download your plugin, because I usually download plug ins from dropbox. Should I copy paste this or something? Apologies for my lack of knowledge.

    To All trying to import JS files its very simple to do follow these steps...

    Easiest Method (1): You can save the script as a JS by simply right mouse clicking and then click "save as" it will have the name of the script and all place this in a folder of your liking but be sure to place into your projects>JS>plugins if you want to use in your game.

    Longer Method (2):

    1. Open the script hit Ctrl A, then Ctrl C this will select all and copy everything. (if its not "raw" already there will normally be a link above the script you can click that says ''raw' so click it otherwise you will copy things you dont need and screw up everything)

    2. open Notepad and hit ctrl P which will paste in the code.

    3. Click Save As and name it something.js , example " bindpicture.js " (pay attention to the js because some may require you to name it specific, I normally scroll to the top of the script and copy whatever they have named.js just to be 100% certain) after you named it, click on the save as type and select all files and then save. and your good to go!

    Hope this helps and best of luck!

    EDIT: Love the script thanks spoiling us non scripters :)

    You sure you put it into the right project folder and have as the right format? Please use snipping tool or screen shot the JS in your folder

    Hello, this error happen about 1/5 time.
    Would bind to what ? you think what?
    This is very strange because sometime, this don't happen !

    The console show this

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'setDimensions' of null :/rpg_managers.js:1692

    Code:
    SceneManager.onError = function(e) {
        console.error(e.message);
        console.error(e.filename, e.lineno);
        try {
            this.stop();
            Graphics.printError('Error', e.message);
            AudioManager.stopAll();
        } catch (e2) {
        }
    };

    And this is the line error insid your plugin (line 215)

    Code:
     picture.setDimensions(sourceBitmap);

    Hey guys, I'm back.

    I made a map and it works fine, its perfect.

    But I added one picture to the parallel change process and it basically breaks the map.

    It makes it lag so bad, its just one picture and it doesn't move so I have no idea why this happens.

    Please help?

    We can't help you unless you show us what you did - with a screenshot of the event that adds the picture.

    Because most probably you forgot to disable a parallel process here, that is the only thing that can create a lot of lag in a single change.

    Heya, sorry, I fixed it by something really silly just now, I ended up changing the speed of the time of the day. It was making the game freak out trying to handle it all, but I've made it comfortable now. :guffaw:
