RPG Maker Forums
Just like the title says. If you are into black metal(I mean the KVLT underground kind) and FF style rpg's and want to make a game based on black metal culture, inquire within!
I have a basic story layout and classes designed already. Would love to collaborate more with a like mind though.
I also have a rough world map done and a starting character home also finished. (pics upon request)
I don't want to say I specialize in anything since I'm still learning and probably most likely always will be. However, I do love to come up with anything story related be it dialogue character relationships or quests. I also enjoy map making as well. I do have a Fl studios too that I also mess with to come up with in game music. I am also currently unemployed so I have plenty of time to work on this. If the situation changes, I am still passionate enough to work on this for several hours a day.
Goals
whether these take short or long term to complete, I would still like to accomplish the following...
-Get some original artwork for title screen (custom title too)
-Find a sprite artist that can draft up original characters/tilesets
-Create original soundtrack maybe even sound effects too but we'll see.
I would love to do as much as I can Independently (meaning with just me or me and you) without having to rely on to much outside sources. I myself am learning scripting,pixel art, mapping, importing music etc so if I can polish these skills better then we wont have to worry about reaching out to much.
I have had an Idea for a game like this for a while now and am really just looking for another like mind, ambitious person that shares the same interest and would enjoy working on this with me and possibly future projects. Even if things don't go well, at least we are getting experience. Hail

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
