I've found I can't overlap trees because the tree on top has blank spaces around it. Any way to fix that? Thanks.

Make the top tree as tiles and add the top of the bottom tree as an event.

additionally, there should be special tiles with both trees available in some tilesheets - I know those exist for VXA, and that is what you state to use on your profile even if you posted in VX (which is a different engine than VXA)

Yeah, I was going to mention that but I know VX doesn't have them. Good addition though Andar!

You should be able to fix this by editing your tileset in GIMP/SAI/PS or any other image editor that lets you save an image with a transparent background. What you want to do is called "clumping", it's where you move your assets around and overlap them to make them look more natural.

Here's a good tutorial on how to do it (also includes info on color editing and rearranging):

If only RM had the capability to show whether a project has been edited, or not... like 99% of all other editors out there. That don't cost, too, or release new versions with very few features just to get the extra money... ugh, just too many basic features missing even after, what, two decades?
Surgically removing people's faces and grafting them on to other people is kind of fun.

I really love it when major blocks preventing me from going all out in game design get shattered.

Like finally developing a fully functioning Technical Machine system where certain characters cannot learn certain moves.

You have no idea how much that helps me.
