I'm not sure if this is the right place sorry if it and but I'm trying to make a retro rpg as my art skills are very limited and for certain objects and characters I have things outlined in black as I love the look of it but I ran into a problem.

My first character is decent to were I'm content with his design but in-game it's super blurry around the edges.

Is there a way to fix this like even if I would just have to zoom the camera in more? If that's possible.

Can you tell me the CPU model of your computer?
If you run on Windows 8+ Open This PC and check out the top ribbon.
It should have File / Computer / View.
Make sure you are on the Computer tab.
    Find and click System Properties.
Just tell me what it says about processor.

And also, if you got a graphics card, it would be nice to know.

The sheet isn't 48*48, something is compensating for it making it more blurry then the actual picture is. Try resizing it to 48*48 grids.

Well I did make the head smaller but it was edited on a 48x48 so I thought it'd be fine. Nothing else is blurry tho so maybe it is the size but should be standard sheet as all I did was make a naked male and painted over it, and since the heads looked weird imho with retro art I simply erased the excess but didn't change the sheet size at all.

EDIT: if you mean the file that's because it's cropped only for showing my friends what they thought, sheet is a full mv one otherwise

Processor is AMD E-300 APU with Radeon HD graphics which I assume also answers the graphic card question.

It's not the most powerful but it's all I got for a while, only thing that would be weird to me is only the character is blurry, the walls and floor are perfectly pixalated

Blurry in both like it seems the resolution maybe doesn't support it? I'm honestly not sure but it's not crystal clear unlike the floors and walls, idk why it isn't sharp on the character.

    One test please:
Is the actor blurry in windowed display as well, or does that only happen on full screen?

Did you already try and locate what is causing it? If you put all plugins OFF does it still give you a blurry head? And if you put the character in a new project does it still show the blurry head?

It seems to be a case of it just does not work well on a character like a chest and the walls look really good but the camera would need to be zoomed in I feel.

Would anyone know of a way to do this plugin or otherwise? I just need it zoomed in on him a tiny bit to let the detail show better.

Yes, it was blurry both ways. I think best way to deal with it atm is somehow zoom in more, would help sharpen the edges and such only problem being dum if such a thing is possible without modifying the engine lol

Zooming in might make it more blurry. I'm having a little trouble understanding the situation. Can you post the full sized sprite? Maybe a screenshot? The other assets that are coming in sharp, ie the treasure chest and wall, did you also make those?
