where did you put the ship on the other map, to which position did you transfer the player (they can't be the same if you want to use the ship) and where was the player standing and facing when you used the "get on/off vehicle" command?
I can't exactly describe it, as I don't know the whole region coordinates Mumbo jumbo, and so far no one has bothered to AT LEAST show a screenshot of what a working version could look like, but anyway, here's what I was trying to do:

Upon standing at the edge of a dock, if the player presses the action key, it asks if they want to board the ship, if yes, it then takes the player to a world map and the controls are set to move the ship around, and on other bits of land there are docking zones (represented by wooden plank tiles) where the player can use the action key, thus returning controls to the player character and transferring them to a town map.

You should understand that the player becomes the ship upon using it.

And you don't need to understand the coordinates to use them, because all commands where a position is set allow you to select that position on the map (and the coordinates are given in the window at the same time).

If you don't understand coordinates, then don't use them and don't set the boat by events.

Just place the boat at the end of the pier, make only one water way away from that pier and place a transfer player command ON THE WATER that will transfer the player to the world map.

Then the player can go to the boat, press the action button to enter it (completely without any event) and then move the ship on the transfer to the world map manually.

I'll try, if something goes wrong still, I'll get back to you.EDIT: found it out myself.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
