that would have added a lot of work actually. if you change the shape of the head, who says ears will fit correctly. Or eyes, or hats and necklaces?

If you could change the limbs, clothes wouldn't fit. Etc.

It's up to users to make their own custom pieces if the generator doesn't work for them. Not saying a generator with body shapes isn't possible, but it is a lot more work making assets for.

This would not be possible, no. All you're doing is changing skin color. Each skin color doesn't have its own image file to edit.

I don't think that's what he's asking. When he says "different body styles" I assume he means visual details beyond a color change. Like more rippled or rotting flesh or whatnot. Changing colors in the character generator *cannot* accomplish this, because a single body file is used. All changing color does is that, changing the color of a single image. Different skin colors are NOT different image files.

You are correct, you can't do that other stuff, by default.

If you wanted rotting flesh I think you would either have to swap out some of the clothes templates or add your own "clothes" that look like ripped flesh.

Or edit the default body template to have ripped flesh. and swap out the body depending on who you need to create. This would be manual, you would have to go into the folder, make a backup of the body template, swap in your own. But I think it could work.

Not going to be something in the editor you pick and choose however.

how much something works with another depends on how well you plan it out. Some people mentioned long hair doesn't work with Hats well. THen don't use long hair with hats.

I made a succubus bikini gal with wings, animal ears and a tail. The tail didn't work as nicely with the wings as I wanted. So while I think your idea is doable, you just need to plan it out.

The advantage of going with clothes is you won't have to swap out the body...you can just keep adding more and more clothes to your library. You can only have one body.

I do know that items can have layers but I have stuck with a single layer for now, still green when it comes to the manual additon of parts to the creator.

I was wondering this myself... That sucks.

Specifically, I wanted to make a skinny, bulk character body and I wanted to have different eye designs that are part of the body sprite and can't be changed.

I can waste accessory spots for the eyes but that is dumb.

    Oh well.
