Book of Myths the lost ring a small game developed by me and only me using RPG maker VX. This is actually my first try as a RPG game developer but through the last year developing it i did actually get higher in mapping , scenario and game logic level which actually made the game look much better as you advance in the game. I am posting this in order to get feedbacks about the general gameplay, storyline and anything else you think you need to say.
Edward : the young prince, the main character of the game is going to be the only unchangeable player in your Party. Being a Paladin
Edward has up to 4 skills he can use in battle.
Kert : Kert is the second character to join your Party, and he will not leave it until the end of the game, or at least for this preview. Kert is an army knight with higher HP and resistance Kert is the defence line for your party. Kert also has 4 skills.
Mel : Mel is the dark magician known as the blacksmith in the first part of the game as well as the first continent. Mel will join your Party on a side mission. You can keep Mel in your party as much as you want by not completing the side quest but he(she) wouldn't have a great impact on the game. Mel has 1 already learned skill and can buy a scroll and get a second skill (destructive one).
Alfred : Alfred is the 3rd character to join your party in the game's timeline. Alfred is a hunter with various Skills, Alfred can be a great support as well as a dmg dealer. Alfred will join your party within the main quest and will leave as soon as you Complete that part of the game.
The gameplay is centered about Finding the write place to go to and trying to understand the quests. You will have to look for secrets and and try to uncover all the places in the map. At some point you will have to rely on your memory a lot because you would have to know how you can get out of a maze or a jungle.
Monsters will automatically catch you when you are in a hostile territory. Monsters at the start will be hard to kill until you get the second character of your party which will make it easier to handle them. as you progress into the game, killing monsters will become easier but the game will get more complicated to keep the game difficulty balanced
weapons And armor are not the main purpose of the game as you can actually win all the game with moderate items but powerful items can be found or purchased throughout the game.

Game Story :
The game is about Edward a young prince being put in a dungeon and stolen his throne after his father. His uncle, the one who took his thronedidn't manage to make the prince vanish as he couldn't destroy one item which was soul bound to him by magic : The ring. Rodriguo( the uncle) gave the ring to one of his followers to get rid of it . Desperate to get his throne back, Edward , after being freed from the dungeon he was in had to start his journey to find his lost ring.Characters :
