Hello. I would like to request a battle system plugin. The main function of this plugin is to allow the battler to use a "boost" in order to allow them to preform additional actions. However, this isn't like an extra hit, you can select a completely new action and then execute that action along with the first action. You can also boost multiple times in a row in order to do 1, 2, 3 additional actions. However, to not make it so you can boost an infinite number of times to win easily, the amount of times you can boost will be limited by BP, or Boost Points.

You start each battle with 3 boosts points (which is displayed as 0 in-game) and every action you do uses 1 boost point. Along with that you also gain 1 boost point every turn, so if you just use 1 attack each turn, you would always go down to 3 boost points (displayed as -1) and then back to 3. (0) If you go below 3 (0) boost points, (2/-1, 1/-2, or 0/-3) you are inflicted with a status that prevents you from taking a turn until your boost points go back to 3. (0) Using items or the Defend command does not use up BP (boost points) so you can store up before using a big stream of attacks. BP is capped at 6 (3) BP and you can only boost up to three times, allowing for 3 additional actions.

Enemies can also boost, allowing bosses or even normal enemies to do expected bursts of powerful attacks back-to-back. Some other options that the plugin could be able to do is allow battle items though note-tags to give BP, allow Actors, Classes, Weapons, or Armor to raise max BP or raise the amount of BP gained per turn, and other stuff like that you could do though note-tags, though all of those are optional and best suited for an add-on for the plugin.

Finally, for the states and the actual BP being counted correctly, ACTIONS and TURNS are made separate. ACTIONS are the separate and multiple moves that are selected via Boost and then preformed, while TURNS are every Action a battle performs at one time before another battler acts. I also want the Boost command to be right above "Defend" in the battle menu for convenience.

If you have played any games in the Bravely Default series, you may recognize this battle system from the "Brave/Default system" from that game. In truth, that was the main battle system that inspired me wanting this plugin to exist, which despite the popularity of the Bravely Default games never existed. Heck, Octopath Traveler (a game me and many other people vehemently dislike) got a full RPG Maker MV battle system conversion before Bravely Default, which is pretty silly. Anyways, I think this plugin will help a lot of people looking for a fun yet simplistic battle system to help spice up their games. I personally think it's a lot better and more interesting than stuff like ATB (which is hard to balance due to the level of importance SPD then has) and CTB. (which is far too simple) Making this plugin possible would make me and many others very happy, so if anyone sees this and gets inspiration, please, make this plugin a reality! Thanks and good day.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
