I'm looking to make a boulder puzzle. The one where you push boulders around and move them out of the way so you can get through them. That should be easy enough. But here's the thing.

I'm putting it in a dungeon you're meant to play through multiple times, so I want this puzzle to reset once you leave the room.

I also want to make a switch that resets all the boulders in their place in case the player screws up (which I'm guessing involves the same mechanics).

How do I get the boulders to go back to their original spots after they've been pushed?

Easiest way:
to reset, Set event location for every builder and set them back to the starting point to reset.
The events should return to the spot you place them when you leave the map.

Note that this is actually the default behavior for RPG Maker - unless you're using a plugin, events do not save their locations when you leave the map.

If you want a switch on the same map as the boulders, then you'd do what @Squareware describes. But for them to reset when you leave and come back, they should already do that...so if they don't, you'll need to check out your plugin list, see if you're using something to save event locations that you forgot about (although most of those you have to deliberately use a notetag or something on the specific events).

working on an A/V sync system for my game! was NOT expecting the first roadblock to be accessing a variable from a public class!! Computers are so finicky sometimes :kaosigh:
For the first real time since my game's inception I found myself actually having fun playing around with my party's skills while testing out some battles! So much so, that I actually forgot what I was doing for a minute and had to force myself to move on to the next thing! :guffaw:

That's got to be a good sign considering it only has place holder animations, enemy skills, troop comps, etc. right now. Feels good!

FINALLY, I figured out how to get the "tail" to appear IN the window and not directly below it lol. now it looks like it's part of the window and not hanging from the bottom of it.
