Hello everyone!
My name is Allan Bays and I just picked up RPG Maker MV this month on the humble bundle. I've always loved RPGs more than any other genre of video game. I tried out RPG maker for the first time when I was a teenager on console but I did not really know what I was doing back then. Since then I've learned Javascript and C++ as well as some other game development platforms like Clickteam Fusion and now everything in RPG Maker makes so much more sense to me and I am loving every second of it! I also have years of experience as a Dungeon Master for D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, and 5E.
I work full time as a wholesale and inventory manager and also attend online classes part time for my major of computer science. Because of this I have less time to invest than I wish I did but I'm still entering the IGMC 2017 because to me there is absolutely no faster way to learn a new skill than to be given a deadline and competition. I can't wait to see what I'm able to make in the future and I also can't wait to try out all of the wonderful games this community creates! You are all so talented and hard working!
I have another thread in the IGMC 2017 forum if you'd like to see the progress of my first RPG Maker game.
