Breaking Weapon

I make a game where there is a weapon that is bound to an event, the event will get the weapon to "break" in exchange for a spell to be upgraded, this event works as planned, but it is very easy to get around the event without triggering it and therefore I would like to have the weapon destroyed, when the player reaches a certain level, why? simply because it does not make a lot of sense that the description of the weapon says that it seems to be close to its breaking point when you can use it for the rest of the game as the situation is now.


so how can I make this happen?

Just reduce the item count of the equipment when you trigger the event

as I said the event works, the weapon breaks when the event is triggered...


but the event is optional, so in case the event is not triggered I need a way for the weapon to break


when the player reaches a certain level

Might not be the best way of doing this, but this works.weapon break.png


it's a parallel event setting a variable to the characters level


when that level in this case is 10.


then if you have the weapon equipped or in your inventory.


remove the sword, add a broken one and have a message pop up.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
