Is the passability of the tile in the upper left corner of TileB set to star?

ive tried changing it between the star circle and x, but the star and circle both make the wall passible, whilst the x means nothing is passible and in turn freezes me in place

They are wall tops and that is how they are designed to work.  If you're using them for the vertical parts of the walls, that's not what they're meant to be used for - the tile BELOW it is the vertical part.  And you need to set the passage setting back to what it originally was.

If you still can't figure it out, show us a screenshot of your map, and highlight the tile you're using from the palette so we can confirm.

... How did I miss that that was what was happening. Thanks Shaz. I think that the lack of sleep is getting to me.

Is there no way of making them two switch roles? i feel the look fits to more of what i was wanting the current way round, whilst the other way is not as nice for what im using it for.

PS: Thank you for replying :)

You could edit the tileset image and swap them around.  The behaviour is hardcoded.

If you do that, I suggest you make a copy of the image rather than edit the original, then make a copy of the tileset in the database - leave one with the original image, and with the other, substitute your edited image.  Then you can use the new tileset on that map, and any others you've done will not be affected.

i just want to thank you... i accidentally changed the tile from star to circle and never noticed... i was raging with desperation and self-doubt because i didn't understand why my character was running up and down every damn wall like a f**king spider :D i just couldn't find the error and it drove me frikkin INSANE.... then i stumbled upon your post. thank you very much for ending my pain.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
