CocoonJS might be worth a look, I know it's recommended by the developer of ImpactJS, which is another HTML5 game engine. In some webkit browsers (Lightning) or firefox mobile it works perfectly fine. Usually android chrome should support more render features than a regular webkit browser. So it doesn't seem to be a hardware thing, and if crosswalk truly doesn't support it that does seem a bit strange...
Since other webkit browsers on android can do it, I'm wondering if there's maybe a better alternative framework to crosswalk? Combined with the audio problems I'm seeing I'm not sure if it's a good choice.
I have not had any issues with the audio dropping out. Have you tried an updated version or Crosswalk? The manual uses version 10, as it was the stable release at the time of writing, but they're already up to 15 being stable, with 16 in beta and 17 in canary. Perhaps try one of those, to see if it fixes your issues.Still, I don't understand why crosswalk is so buggy (incorrect canvas blending, audio drops out under certain conditions, ...), it's just frustrating.
