I'm having a go at my first full-on game on RPG Maker MV. For a specific map, I have a BGM dedicated to exploration and another BGM that is a variation of this first BGM for battles. What I want to do is make it so that the battle BGM continues from where the exploration BGM stopped.

I figured out a way to make this work by using both BGM and BGS channels. So far it works when entering battles, but sometimes it breaks when the battle ends.

Specifically, the battle BGM sometimes doesn't stop if you spam the confirm button to skip the victory screen. When this happens, the two BGMs desync and the whole mix becomes unbearable.

Is there a way to fix this issue? If not, can you force the player through the victory screen?

PS: I am very new to RPG Maker, so I have very, very little knowledge about scripting. I also don't use many plug-ins, I only have one for advanced weather and another for locations details on the save file.

Could you please provide the whole context for the events? Even with your screenshots it is a bit unclear to me how your current system works. What are the trigger conditions for these events? Are we talking battle or map events? And so on ...

Well, the BGS and BGM start playing when the event that teleports the player to the map where I want to use the trick (that's screenshot 1). Then I make scripted battles (a map event that starts the battle) that, well, start the battle and invert the volume of the BGS and BGM. After the battle's over, the BGS and BGM's volumes are inverted once again to come back to the "exploration" variation of the song (that's screenshot 2).

Also, I did more testing on my side and it seems the BGS and BGM desync once the battle is over. So the title I gave to this post is inaccurate now. I suspect it is the victory jingle that somehow screws up the syncing.

This just blew my mind.
RMMZ can choose Tilesize.
No complicated Plugin needed, it is a simple inbuild Option.
This means you could literally use all your rm2k3 or vx-ace Tilesets and Characktersets in RMMZ.
This also makes me curious about experimenting with smaler Tiles and higher Screen Resolutions for non RPG Games.
