Hey. I was play testing my game when I found an issue where the airship was just randomly appearing in one of my maps. I was wondering if this was something I did and if I can fix it, or if it is a bug and I will have to scrap everything and remake the game from the bottom up. I have tried deleting it, setting it off to an unused map, and even going into the system files and setting it's positions all back to 0(as I saw shaz suggest to someone with a somewhat similar problem), all to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If that is the true airship, simply place it somewhere else on a map where it is out of sight and that should be corrected the next time that map is reloaded (will not happen if you saved on that map, you need to leave the map first)

If that is an event that uses the sprite of the airship, you need to check and correct that event on that map.

Do you have any plugin modifying the airship's behavior/position/settings etc.?

If so, you should check there if it has a custom starting position.

See, the issue that is occuring is that it is appearing, despite not being set to anything. Yes, it is the system though.

Thank you for the advice, however I do not have any plugins set up.

As I said, then set it to somewhere it is not visible.

It's a programming thing about how computers work, and now we need to check if it still appears there if you tell it to be somewhere else in the editor.

If you set it somewhere else and it still appears there, then as the other poster mentioned you have a plugin that sets it to the wrong position.

If it is no longer there if you place it somewhere else (for example on an unused map), then it was a problem that your computer created random values instead of keeping the data as undefined (because the computers have technical problems with undefined values)

I tried setting it to a map off to the side, yet the problem pesisted. I don't have any plugins turned on though.

Did you leave the map and return to it? Nothing will change the airship position if you stay on that map.

And something did cause it to be there. That cannot happen without a cause.

So now a few details:

1) how do you check for changes?

Have you set the starting point to that map and start a new game, appearing on that map and the airship is there?

Or do you load a saved game? If you load a saved game, don't - test it with a new game and the starting point placed there.

2) have you checked every event on that map? Perhaps there is some forgotten event that places the airship at that position.

We can't count the number of times where people told us several time that there is no event placing something, only to return a week later with a silent "you were right, I forgot about event XYZ where I did that as a testing...")

So if this happens on a new game going directly to that map, please check every common event (including those that you forgot to name) and every map event on that map (even if you believe it to be a simple decoration).

Alright, Ill look into it. I just load the game from a different map and move there. So just try from a new game?
