RPG Maker Forums

This is a topic that I have been thinking about for a while. Grandma Deb had linked to an article about Players' Rights that revolved primarily around MUDs, and Gamasutra put together an excellent generic one for developers.  What I haven't seen, and am curious if anyone else is interested in, is a Players' Bill of Rights specifically written for RPG Maker games.

I think that cultivating a list based on issues seen by community members would be beneficial, especially for newcomers to the series (more-so during the sales periods).  As such, please feel free to share any rules or other posts you have in mind on this!

(My submission, to start the thread)

1. Keep the intro short.  Your audience will not care about the thousand years war on the Kingdom of Peacefulmania by the Empire of Wageswarfare, nor the Magical Macguffin of Unobtanium lost to time by the Keepers of Eternity.  They want to play; set them on their way and introduce the story gradually.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
