OK, so I've got these two characters which are both playable. The bush effect works normally for the character A, a normal-size ACE character sprite. However, my second character is a taller one, taking a bit more than the usual 32x32 space. Here's what I mean:

The character has the marks !$ on its file to be functional. The line through its head is the top edge of the 32x32 square.

Now when I put this character on the tile that should have the bush effect on, there is no effect at all. If I change back to the normal-sized character, the effect is there as it should be. Is there some solution to this?

RMMV
Just a guess - the ! indicates that the sprite is an object sprite, not an actor sprite, and I consider it strange that you have used that sign on a sprite of a person.

I haven't tested this, but it can easily be that this not only overrides the regular displacement of actor sprites four pixels up (that is the primary function of the !, telling the program not to move it up), but also disables the bush property (simply because the bush property is only for actor sprites to make them appear of standing inside the grass, it would look rather strange if for example a door had the bush shining through.

So please only use $ for single sprite (contrary to popular opinion on the internet, neither ! nor $ have anything to do with the size of the sprite)

Thanks for the info about the symbol meanings. However...

I tried using only the $, but the bush effect is still not showing.

Edit: I also tried to add him with no symbol at all by changing the image size, but even this wouldn't make the bush effect visible o_O

Edit: OK, I got it to work! Apparently I had messed up with the character swapping script, and forgot to change the sprite from the common event related. Thank you for solving this, Andar =)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
