I've seen this question asked before, but not answered, so here it goes. How would  go about implementing a button mashing minigame? The problem with a conditional brach checking if the button is being pressed is that holding it down will automatically add to the counter. Wha I did is add an empty message window appearing after every button press, but that slows the whole minigame and makes two presses necessary for one point. Is there any more elegant way to solve this?

Solved! In the conditinal branch put a script call saying: Input.trigger?:)C)

C could be replaced by any key, up for example.

No worries. That's part of the tutorial, using that key function of RPG Maker. Glad you figured it out. (Though IDK why it's not just built in. Seems silly to make only key-press-down detection.)

But if you want to know how to structure a button masher (Key input processing is part of it) You'll want to check out that entire demo I linked.

Sometimes you do need it, though. Can't think of a scenario off the top of my head, but basically, that command is like Input.press? in scripting.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
