You want to buy DLC for someone as a gift for them?

I'm a little confused. So you want to buy DLC for RPG Maker without owning RPG Maker? Why?

You're technically able to buy anything from the official forums store with no pre-requisites, as far as I know -- the Steam version does require that you own RPG Maker, though I think. That being said, without having a license for RPG Maker, you have nowhere to use these assets on!
Except in the case of assets that don't restrict their use to only RPG maker, in these cases you can just pop the assets you bought here into your Unity game, for example.

You can't use RPGMaker assets in Unity unless the DLC says you can, which is very rare. Most of them are offered for RPGMaker only.

That's what I mean when I said there are exceptions. That looks like one of them, but not every DLC is set up that way. From the store you should be able to buy it, but Steam will not let you as there is no way to put them on Steam as DLC's that you can buy without owning the original product.

Let me get an admin to check more on this though before you run off and buy it.

"Any Tool" and "Commercial Use Any Tool" means you can use it in any program you want. Most of the DLC will have "Maker Only" and "Commercial Use Maker Only" which means you can only use the resources in RPG Maker and Visual Novel Maker.

If those are the resources you want, yes, you can buy them through that link, and you can use them in Unity. Most other resources on the same site will not have "Any Tool".

Shaz has it correct, you can use that pack with any engine you want :). Good luck with your game. (I'm an employee of the publisher, so this is an official response)
