So you looked at that too? that really looks good IMO...
Before you go searching the net to buy tilesets, you should definitely buy the Samurai pack in this site's store(It's a steal at 20 bucks, and it comes with like 8 tilesets, not to mention a metric ton of other things)I see...Well if i can afford it maybe i'll try...if Mack tiles doesn't work ot
It seems like straying from the RTP is rule number 1 for a Rpg maker
commercial game...
Are there any successful commercial games heavy in RTP?
Hm ok. you don't have to for battlers though, as there are quite a few bigger battlers(battlers are 2-3 times bigger then char map sprites in general anyway, so that wouldn't be a problem with your bigger sprites).I have seen those packs but I'm thinking of making my characters two tiles tall...(I'll probably hire a pixel artist for all my heroes[sprites+battle sprites])
and it seems that these are made more for chibi sprites...
Especially the DS pack...
I like it very much though!
I'll probably buy it, just for the music and the icons it has.
By the way, my game uses a side-view battle system and some of the Ace enemies look strange.
Do these packs have any side-view battlers?
I'm not sure about that, I always thought most fonts were considered freewhare(do what you want with them), but there are rare occassions where that Isn't the case, so you'll need to look into it(where did you get it from, and was there any copyright tags on any of the files for the font).i see.
Well, I'll get the ds pack and when the budget allows i'll see for the other ones.
By the way,I just thought of something...
I use the font Code2000 in my game...
Do I need a license to use it?
Quite the contrary - most fonts are to be paid for, and just that microsoft already paid for them for you to use in windows doesn't mean they're free.I'm not sure about that, I always thought most fonts were considered freewhare(do what you want with them), but there are rare occassions where that Isn't the case, so you'll need to look into it(where did you get it from, and was there any copyright tags on any of the files for the font).
That is what I meant with incomplete fonts or missing letters - the box usually appears if the font file is missing the symbol that was intended to be displayed there.I've found a nice free font, but when in battle,I target an enemy and it shows a square symbol after his name...
