Dropping a quick tip if you are going to take the green steam greenlight path like we are going to do.
First, the rtp thing is indeed a concern that you might want to take care of. I am going to use Celianna's tile sets to sproose it up a bit. I haven't paid for commercial yet so I cant do anything to promote or distribute the game. There is nothing wrong with using rtp, just don't use so much of it to the point it looks like this...

Secondly, before starting a greenlight, Its a good idea to get supporters from the forums here. That way, you can get a strong start and build product confidence.
Thirdly and most importantly, You got to give your audience a reason to like your game. Focus on what your game WILL provide rather then what you expect to provide, have a good presentation, and try to come up with new, fresh ideas that are not a rehash on many rpg maker games.
If you are taking the commercial path, expect to put quite a bit of your own money into it. My project so far costed me around $300 to get it at where its at now. I am still expecting to have to spend thousands to get it to a commercial level game which is why I am going to go with kickstarter after I get all my legal licenses straitened up and have something tangible to offer (demo, video, screenshots, etc.)
Best of luck to you!

@Celinna - read how you make your tilesets. Very nice method indeed!
