@hylian_Boy The information under your avatar says that you are using MV. However, you have posted this in the section for VX Ace. Could you please confirm which engine you are using.

I am going to move this to MV, to see if people think this can be done through eventing. If people advise you that it cannot, please Report this post and ask for the thread to be moved to JS Plugin Requests.

[move]RPG Maker MV[/move]

Try a script call:
Code:
alert("Hello, world!");

basically no, that is a bad idea.

you can put out message windows at a maximum, but really calling functions from the operating system is usually considered to be a virus-infection-sequence by most antivirus programs, especially if the call comes from a HTML-environment like a website trying to infect your computer. and RMMV creates HTML5-games....

Moved to XP Support.

No idea. Oneshot didn't tell us how they did it.

Win32API's MessageBox was used. An example of how to use one:
Code:
message_box = Win32API.new('user32', 'MessageBox', 'LPPL', 'I')
value = message_box.call(0, 'YOU DIED', 'git gud', 0x10)
You're going to change the values in the .call part of this:
  1. Leave the first parameter as 0.
  2. Second parameter is your message.
  3. Third parameter is the window's title.
  4. Fourth parameter defines the window's style/type, such as what buttons are available, if an icon should be drawn, text aligning, etc. Just refer to the MS doc.
value will be an integer that represents what button the user presses. In the above example, only an OK button is present, so value is expected to return 1 since IDOK = 1 (again, refer to MS doc).

How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
