Hi there, sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this

The RPG Maker MV Script event command only gives a certain (and rather short) amount of lines. Whilst this can be circumvented by writing most of the code in a single line, this makes editing it (say, for bug fixes or additions) a hassle

Is it possible to call in an external JS somehow? I know how to do it in jQuery, but I'm not sure if the Script function allows jQuery or just JavaScript (since I'm also not sure if the import function exists in the event command)

    Thanks for your time!

You can write and add a Plugin that adds any complex function you want, and then call this function by script call.

Welcome to the forums, Hetherton

And yes, you do what you want with RPG Maker MV to call Javascsript, takes a while to learn how to do it, but it can be done
    • Also, RPG Maker MV does not produce games with jQuery as a part of it, it can be installed into a game created with RPG Maker MV, but that is pretty complicated & a pretty advanced feature. Instead you can call JavaScript directly.

Thanks so much for your help, Joy! That was such a fun learning experience, and I got a lot out of it

(I'm guessing this thread is finished now that my problem is solved? how does that work?)
