Can a Life system be Evented with 1 ups and health pickups?

Basically i want to know if you can event a life system where if you die, you start the level over again.

Also 1 ups and health pickups etc...

Also when you run out of lives its gameover.

I think it should be doable.

If youre still having normal RPG fights, all you really need is the ''continue when lost'' condition - this way you can have a ''transfer player'' instead of game over when they lose, with a conditional branch for 1-ups and stuff. 

Once you know how switches and variables work it really shouldn't be too hard.

If youre still having normal RPG fights, all you really need is the ''continue when lost'' condition - this way you can have a ''transfer player'' instead of game over when they lose, with a conditional branch for 1-ups and stuff. 

Once you know how switches and variables work it really shouldn't be too hard.
It will be on map not in battle since my game will be  a platformer.

Hello.

I'm using that system right now(sort of).

Game Over wont trigger if you die so you can event some things if you die(Conditional Branch).

class Scene_Base

  def check_gameover

    if $game_party.all_dead?

      common_event_call = RPG::EventCommand.new(117, 0, [1])

      $game_map.interpreter.setup([common_event_call])

    end

  end

end

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
