Greeting gentle peoples of the interwebs,

Hopefully this is the correct section of the forums for such a request, if not apologies in advance for creating undue work for beleaguered moderators.

I've found these items floating around the web & rather like the art style of the character, I think it would be a good fit aesthetically speaking for my current project. However, when I've attempted to track down the source artist of the works in question, I've been wholly unsuccessful. In fact everyone who seems to be posting these images has not been been including terms of use, nor due I recognize it from any of these previous RPG maker programs, or available DLCs.

Needless to say I very much prefer not to be stealing someone's artwork, so I've simply kept the items in question in a folder marked "unknown" until such time as I can verify the artist & their feelings on the matter. However, I am somewhat reticent to heed the words of someone who has already been posting these items in such a manner that makes me inclined to think there is a possibility they are not as they say "on the up & up".

Thus I've come to yoursleves a third party, in the hopes of greater transparency. So does anyone know the artist in question, or whether these items are "ripped" from another game or not, or are being posted without permission? I would be most grateful for any information.

Thank you Silenity,

However, what exactly is this site? My command of Japanese is limited at best, & google translate is less than helpful. The page that contains the images in question seems to suggest the items are intended for use with RPG maker, or at least that is what I am interpreting google's "translation" to mean. However, no mention seems to made of commercial or non-commercial games, artists to credit for the work, or anything of that nature.

Rather bad form to use someone's art & not give them the due credit, even if they are giving it away for free.

Makio-Kuta,

You're both a scholar & a gentleman, unless you identify as a lady in which case replace the former with the later. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
