Can I add an enemy to battle after it's started?

In my battles I want to set it up so that there's a 10% a specific enemy appears. I know I could do this by setting a 10% chance troop, but I need just one enemy to be added at the beginning of battles you're already in. I hope this makes sense.

I'm going to try and explain this once more in a different way.
So I have a mimic type enemy that give a lot of EXP, items, and gold. I want to set it up so that this enemy can randomly invade battles. My problem is that using troops to do that adds a lot of additional troops to my game. For example, if I have three enemies in an area and set up six various troops based on them, I'd need six more troops just to add my mimic type enemy. As you can see this will be a bigger problem as I get to areas with more enemies.

I'm very thankful for any help you may provide.

You need to hide it in the troops set up, then use an event with trigger conditions to make it visible.

Is that the only way? Because I have about 20 different variations of that enemy. I was planning to use a common event based on the players level to figure out which one should show up.

You can transform the enemy into something else, so you only need 1 hidden enemy and a transform event.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
