Can I change the viewport of a plane?

I wondered, is it possible to change the viewport of an existing plane somehow (other than to dispose and recreate the plane)

I doubt it. The viewport of a plane/sprite/window/whatever is read-only. If you try to change it, you'll get an error.

Yep, that's just read-only, just hoped that someone maybe would know and share an unlisted method... would help my script to be a bit less destructive ;-)...
