Is it possible to do a countdown timer without the clock showing up on screen? I would like to have something activate and then after a certain time have something activate. A delayed trigger, basically.

hmm you can do that with a parallel process and putting in wait with 60 frames = 1 second

but if you want to use the timer still this script should do it  :p

def update_visibility

  #self.visible = $game_timer.working?

  self.visible = false

end

just copy and paste it into script editor

I must be missing something, because

def update_visibility

  #self.visible = $game_timer.working?

  self.visible = false

end

did not work for me. It still shows the timer. :(

Use the play time variable(this is found under the game data section of the variable option page), save it to a variable, and another variable set to a number, then add them together, and save the new variable, to another variable ID. Then finally you have a parallel proc run checks, for if you original play time variable= the las vaiable I just had you create.

Back with an edit in a moment...
If you can't figure it out, I'm pretty sure I can explain it a lot better, if you need(that post was insanely sloppy, sorry about that).

That would be immensely appreciated. I want a secret timer to activate and the wait function has never worked for me, it always pauses my character even in parallel process.

  self.visible = false

Ok :)

Step 1: set play time to a variable

Step 2: make a variable for how many seconds you want the invisible timer to be(aka 60=1m)

Step 3, make a variable that adds both of those 2 variables together.

step 4: make a Parallel proc that does a check for if the original play time variable I had you make= the last variable I had you make.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
