Hey everyone!
My name's Kyler.
I downloaded the trial version of MV and will most likely be buying it within the next 16 days when my trial runs out.
Currently, in my game, I have created an OPTIONAL PARTY MEMBER.
I haven't played an RPG featuring optional characters in such a long time, I think the only one was Final Fantasy 7.
I intend on having two Optional Party Members, and I know how to add them/remove them from the party, my actual question is very complicated.
I want them to have dialogue in scripted events that happen with or without their being in the Party.
For instance, the first optional member, Ruto, can be unlocked within the first ten minutes of play time. Basically, in the starting area, you can explore everything save for some trees and plants. There's a dog's grave, and if you interact with it, you get "Ruto's Collar". -- Ruto is a cat that takes on a human form if she joins the party -- In the next area, you can fight your first enemy, and there is also a little hole in the brush, where you hear a mreow. This is Ruto. If you have Ruto's collar, you can coerce her out of the hole and into the party. The main character, Carlina, then travels a bit, and get's sucked into this crazy thing, and seemingly dies. However, in the original event --I only just recently decided I wanted Ruto as a character--, Carlina is alone. So is there a way to have the event play out differently if Ruto is in the party, but still keeping it the original way if Ruto is not in the party?
