@Shikamon pretty much nailed it with the best option xD

Joining a small team for a game-jam is pretty much a win-win.
- you gain more experience in whatever you are good at
- you gain experience in being part of a team
- you gain something to show off when applying for larger projects
- you dont have to invest a ton nor commit to a 5 year deal

So yeah, that's my advice too

I'd say to join our team as we're about to start up heavy again soon (we had some rough life troubles XD), but our project is a bit "large", I think, for what you'd be wanting - It's basically a MMORPG. So I'll just pop on to say good luck with your projects!
