Can I use an asset that came with a plugin?

I'm currently using GALV's splash screen plugin, and it came with a sample PNG that is MV's logo. I would want to change the 'made in' font to match my project's style, but I'm not sure if I can legally use it.

"Made in" is not part of MV's logo, so you would be able to change it. Just not the logo itself.

However, you can get the MV logo from the splash screen that comes with MV and is in every new project by default - you don't have to get it from Galv's plugin (I'm guessing that is where Galv got it from anyway, if it's not just picking up the one that's already in your project)

Oh, the logo in GALV's files is different than the one we get in every project folder. It's the one where MV is faded gold font instead the one with a castle icon.

If you look where you have MV installed, you will find several versions of this, with different backgrounds.

In the drm folder
In the Help\inc\img folder

Also on the RPG Maker Web product page and in the wallpapers.

It really just looks like your image above was cut from a larger pic.
