Can Regions Work Below Player, Or Are They Same As Player Only?

A follow to my map reset thread:

Whenever I touch a region, I can't reset the map. Do regions only act like "same as characters", in that you only have to be touching a region to trigger an event, or can I make it so that only when the player is on top of the region and the region is under the player, so that the region is "below characters," the event gets triggered?

Regions do not have a priority like events do.  They are a part of the map, not a part of the events on the map.  Therefore they act the same as terrain tags, counter tags, bush tags, ladder tags, etc.

However, there is no programming for regions by default, so whether you have to be ON the tile with the region or just next to it and facing it, or whether you have to START moving onto the tile or wait for the move to complete, depends entirely on what script you're using to implement the region behaviour.  What script are you using to detect regions and act on them?

Region codes are completely independent of actor priority - which means that your question is wrong.

It depends completely on how you check the region ID to determine what happens, and by default you get the region of the field the player is standing on. So what you're asking for is the default for regular checks, and if your game didn't work like that then you made the check for the region in a really strange way...

Thank you!

Thank you! I'm just using the default regions, i.e., putting regions on the map and using variables to trigger events. But I just found this script that does what I'm looking for: https://yanflychannel.wordpress.com/rmvxa/field-scripts/common-event-tiles/

Other scripts I found:

So is your problem solved, or were you already using those scripts when you had the issue?

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
