RMMV Can someone make Irina's Auto Message Colors play together with Yanfly's Message Macros?

The plugins do not play well with each other... but I think they can. I tried placing them above and below each other and that didn't help. The auto message plugin works fine when it's below, but it breaks the macro plugin so that the macros don't work. If it's above the macro plugin then it doesn't work at all, but it doesn't break the macros.

Auto Message Color Plugin

Thanks

I am willing to bet that these plugins are basically doing the same thing behind the scenes, but are being presented in a slightly different way.

Just checked, they are both using the function:

Window_Base.prototype.convertEscapeCharacters

So I don't think there is any easy way to get them to work together, but I really don't know very much about javascript yet so maybe there is...

@xDRAGOONx Well, I hope someone can figure it out... It would be nice to not have to continuously write out /c[] all the time!

Yeah, I hear that. I honestly prefer Yanflys macros for their versatility. I can use hex codes to do any number of hues, I can setup macros to show specific icons by name without having to remember every icon's id.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
