So, I just bought a PS3 few months ago, I used to play FIFA 14 with my brother. But, I am a JRPG gamer at heart. So can anyone recommend me a great PS3 RPGs.

The only JPRG I have played is Tales of Xillia. It was good, 2 player compatible, but I didn't believe it was pretty short!  ;_;

Eternal Sonata was pretty good (and for whatever reason it had content that the Xbox360 version didn't have even though that came out first), but battles maaay be pretty repetitive.

Story and characters were amazing, plot was pretty decent, battles have a nice difficulty curve (and is extremely hard on NewGame+), it's one of those games where you have to learn enemy attack patterns to press a QTE block button at the right time, or else you get wrecked.

It has both english and japanese voices that are very well done, beautiful maps and scenery, some light map-puzzles here and there (which is like what the game lacks, but it's not the focus either)

Ummm it's got lots of feels with the characters. =P  They're definitely a very memorable cast.

The Kingdom Hearts collection is for PS3 and has all the original games on it.  Best expenditure ever.

The HD 1.5 Remix is already available with three games while the 2.5 version is coming with the rest later this year.

There aren't that many good JRPGs on ps3, tbh. I thought there were more, but now that I look, everything good is either PS2 or not a JRPG. Eternal Sonata is okay. White Knight Chronicles 2 is decent and comes with a free copy of the first one. Valkyria Chronicles is amazing but is more of an SRPG.

I am not a huge fan of the Final Fantasy Series and I won't think of buying a remake game, because I've played FF X and Kingdom Hearts Series in PS2. In fact, I never played FF 7-9, but I consider buying them on Playstation Network someday.  :)  Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Edit : Eternal Sonata looks great. I'll try it.

Disgaea 3 and 4 are GREAT jrpgs if you wanna do all the post game stuff it takes like 100+ hours easily. (They have alooooooooooot of post game content.)

And games from the "Tales" series are also great.

@Darr123 I second Ni No Kuni being badass.

If you liked Tales of Xillia, there's always Tales of Graces, the previous installment.

Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky just came out a couple weeks ago. I haven't played it, but it's been getting good reviews.

In fact, Atelier Escha just got some DLC today. My friend can't stop blabbing about it.

Interesting. I just took a look at my local online shop. I'm going to buy Tales of Graces F. I believe it's a great game, as always!

I saw Atelier Ayesha and Rorona too. The design looks nice, but those titles are complete new to me...

Once again, I've heard Ni No Kuni too, my friend said it's a good game. Even I got a promotional poster of this game when I bought Tales of Xillia. :)

I second Ni No Kuni,Eternal Sonata, Tales of Graces F, and White Knight Chronicles.

Also, yes, try the Atelier series. They are indeed fun.

You could look around the Playstation Network for more as well.

LOL. I played FFX International Version in PS2. If I'm not mistaken, the International Version has the super boss (the Dark Aeons and Penance)

It's a little bit disappointing that they decided to remake FF X instead of FF VII-IX. I know the fans are longing for the older titles...

The international version that isn't so international... XD... It would be nice if they remade IX using newer "3D" models and such...

but yeah, as of now, it seems like the console quite lacks the selection of nice JRPGs...

JRPG is dying and I'm aware of it. Maybe it would be harder to see a great JRPG in PS4, XBOX1, or any other next-gen consoles.

Either the developers lack of a great idea or the players get sick because of an inevitable story cliches. lol.

I found that the PS3 lacked RPGs in its early years, but recently (like within this past year), I've been overswamped with many, many, many, RPGs to play. Many games that I would suggest have already been mentioned, so here's one that hasn't been:

Rainbow Moon. It was released on the PSN back in July 2012(I don't think there's a box copy). It's a tactics RPG ala Final Fantasy Tactics or Disgaea and it's focus is entirely on gameplay. It's story is fairly basic, nothing spectacular, but good enough to get you going with it's addicting combat. It's a surprisingly long game, too, so if you find you like it, it will give you 100+ hours of content. I love it's soundtrack, too. It has a variety of battle themes and they are all catchy. I kept finding myself humming along during battles.

Resonance of Fate. The battle system is awesome, and it has a good mix of serious and humor.

Thanks for the suggestion.

It's settled then! I just bought Tales of Graces F, and I'm gonna spend my time on this for quite some time. ^^

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
